Biography

Robyn Dixon Costa is an Alexander Technique teacher at the Penn State School of Music. She teaches the course 'Alexander Technique for Musicians' and offers studio classes, workshops, and private lessons aimed at helping musicians play freely while alleviating performance anxiety. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Dr. Costa also teaches 'Introduction to Film Music' and 'Listening to Classical Music' for Penn State Digital Learning. She is the principal English hornist with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra and an associate musician with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. Furthermore, she serves as the principal oboist for the Pennsylvania Chamber Orchestra and is a member of the Penn's Woods Music Festival Orchestra.
