Dr. Robyn Moore

Biography

Robyn Moore is a Conjoint Lecturer at Macquarie University with a focus on the characteristics and consequences of speech perception in young children with impaired hearing. She completed her PhD at the University of Newcastle in 2006, where her research was centered on 'Simply Singing.' Additionally, she holds a Master of Education specializing in study in singing for children with significant hearing impairments, a Master of Special Education, and a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Sydney. Over the years, Robyn has contributed to her field through numerous research outputs, with a notable h-index of 39. Her work has primarily revolved around the health and social long-term outcomes for adult recipients of cochlear implants. She has also engaged in projects investigating health service use and treatment costs for cochlear implant users. With experience that stretches over a decade in academia, Robyn has collaborated extensively and has presented her findings at various conferences. She is dedicated to furthering the understanding of auditory rehabilitation and the educational needs of children with hearing loss.
