Professor Dr. Rocci Luppicini

Biography

Rocci Luppicini is a professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Ottawa, Canada. He is a social scientist and philosopher focusing on the intersection of communication, technology, ethics, decision-making, and policy. Luppicini has served as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Technoethics and has published over 25 peer-reviewed articles. He has authored and edited a dozen books, including 'Handbook of Conversation Design for Instructional Applications' (2008), 'Handbook of Research on Technoethics: Volume I & II' (2009), and 'Technoethics in the Evolving Knowledge Society: Ethical Issues in Technological Design, Research, Development, and Innovation' (2010). His recent work includes 'Handbook of Research on the Technoself: Identity in a Technological Society: Vol I & II' (2013), which provides comprehensive reference material in English regarding human enhancement and identity in an evolving technological society.
