Dr. Rod White

Biography

Rod White is a Professor Emeritus at the Ivey Business School, specializing in Finance and General Management. He has been a vital member of the school since 1979, contributing to undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs in Business Policy and Strategic Management. His expertise was further recognized during his tenure as a visiting professor at INSEAD in 1996. Rod earned his BA with Honors in Business from Western University and an MBA and DBA from Harvard University. His research interests focus on the functioning of top management teams and their impact on business strategy and organization. He is currently exploring the evolutionary forces that affect business behaviors. Among his significant contributions, Rod received the Academy of Management Review Decade Award for his article on Organizational Learning Framework: Intuition and Institutions. Additionally, he has held various leadership roles, including serving as Associate Dean for Faculty Development and Research at Ivey from 2009 to 2014. Rod has consulted for numerous organizations and has served on the board of Sandvik Canada Ltd. and the Biotron Advisory Board at Western, as well as being part of the editorial board for the Strategic Management Journal.
