Biography

Professor Rosa Santos Gilbertz serves as Associate Provost for Faculty Development at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she is responsible for processes and policies related to faculty development and success, including mentoring and support for pre-tenure and mid-career faculty. She oversees programs such as new faculty orientation and initiatives for dual-career academic couples. In her previous role, she served as the Interim Head of the Department of Special Education and was a Provost Fellow focusing on faculty development and diversity. Her professional trajectory includes several key appointments, emphasizing her commitment to faculty affairs and educational excellence.
