Biography

Rossella Ciccia is an Associate Professor of Social Policy at the Department of Social Policy and Intervention and a Fellow of Green Templeton College, University of Oxford. Her research interests are concentrated in the field of comparative social policy, particularly focusing on social inequalities, gender, care, and paid work within Europe and Latin America. Ciccia serves as co-chair of the ECPR standing group on Gender and Politics and has convened the European Conference on Politics and Gender. She is also a member of the international research network Gender Equality Policy Practice (GEPP). Her scholarly work has been published in various prestigious journals, including the Journal of Social Policy, Journal of European Social Policy, and Social Policy & Administration. She has been recognized for her substantial contributions to research on feminist inequalities and was nominated for the European Journal of Politics and Gender 2022 Article Award. Additionally, she received the inaugural Emma Goldman award in February 2020 for her significant contributions to the field.
