Biography

Roza Meuleman is an Assistant Professor at Radboud University in the Department of Sociology and an affiliate of the Radboud Social Cultural Research institute. Her research focuses on examining the role of cultural tastes in forming and maintaining social networks and their influence on occupational success. She received the NWO Veni Grant for her work which investigates how social and cultural network resources contribute to gender differences in occupational success. In 2023, she was awarded the NWO OC XS Grant to explore unequal network composition and returns and their relation to gender disparities in career success. Roza has extensive experience in organizing large-scale national and international longitudinal data collections, collaborating with the European Social Survey and the Family Survey of the Dutch Population. Her research lines also include social inequality, cultural capital, social networks, job market dynamics, and gender inequalities.
