Biography

Ruixue Jia is a professor of economics in the School of Global Policy and Strategy at the University of California, San Diego. He serves as the co-director of the China Data Lab and is the executive secretary of the Association for Comparative Economic Studies (ACES). He is also the co-chair of the China Economic Summer Institute (CESI). His research focuses on the intersections of economics, history, and politics, particularly how power structures evolve and shape economic development.
