Ruth Murray-Webster is an experienced consultant and practitioner in the areas of organisational change and risk management, with over 35 years of experience in various roles that enable organisations and sectors to deliver change objectives. She has held appointments such as Director of the Change Portfolio Group and Head of Risk at a major port operator, as well as Director of Risk at KPMG LLP. Ruth has researched organisational change from the perspective of the recipients of change in her Executive Doctorate at Cranfield School of Management, and continues to design and facilitate behavioural change programmes while supporting major projects during their early lifecycle. She has co-authored five books on the people aspects of risk management and serves on the Home Office Audit Risk Assurance Committee. Additionally, Ruth has been invited to be the Lead Author for several industry publications, including the Lead Author for the Association for Project Management Body of Knowledge 7th edition (2019) and Managing Successful Programmes 5th edition (2020). In recognition of her services to risk and change, Ruth was awarded an Honorary Fellowship from the Association for Project Management in 2013. Her research interests span planned change, organisational routines, understanding project complexity, and organisational ambidexterity in business transformation programmes.
