Biography

Sachin Shah, PharmD, FACC, FAHA, earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston and completed a cardiovascular pharmacology fellowship at Hartford Hospital/University of Connecticut. He joined the University of the Pacific in 2007 as a regional coordinator at Travis Air Force Base, where he is currently in charge of Pharmacy Research Education. Dr. Shah has authored 50 research publications and book chapters and is the director of the Innovative Clinical Outcomes Research (iCOR) lab, specializing in novel dietary supplement device trials. The iCOR serves as a training program for students pursuing careers in the pharmaceutical industry. He is also the co-director of the Fellowship Industry Program (FIP), which focuses on post-doctoral training for pharmacists in drug development and trial design. In 2015, Dr. Shah presented at TEDxUCDavisSF in San Francisco, discussing topics related to 'mind medicine' and the control of one's mind. His research interests include the assessment of the impact of drugs and dietary supplements on health outcomes, as well as enhanced external counter pulsation (EECP), central blood pressure in disease assessment and management, and energy drinks and caffeine supplements.
