Biography

Sara DiCaglio is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Texas A&M University. Her interdisciplinary research is situated at the intersection of rhetoric, health, medicine, feminist science studies, disability studies, and feminist theory within the health humanities. DiCaglio's work broadly examines the notions of health and environment, particularly how incompletion informs knowledge about the body's partial relations, and positions discourse regarding embodiment within the sites of atmospheric rhetorics, olfaction, and brain fog. She is currently developing a book project entitled 'Tracing Loss: Feminist Anatomies of Reproductive (Un)endings,' which investigates the scientific and cultural definitions of pregnancy related to reproductive loss. As an educator, her teaching includes courses that delve into graphic medicine, the rhetoric of health and gender, pandemic writings, and writing pedagogy.
