Biography

Semir Becevic is a lecturer specializing in Subject Matter Education with a focus on Mathematics Education at the University of Gothenburg. His research interests center around assessment in mathematics at the upper secondary school level. Becevic's work examines the impact of the new syllabus introduced in autumn 2011, which sets higher expectations for teaching and assessment practices among mathematics teachers. He is particularly interested in how teachers' knowledge and experiences inform their reflections on assessment strategies, including the construction of national tests designed by teachers.
