Biography

Seth Wiener grew up in small towns in Indiana and Ohio. After initially aspiring to be an astronaut, his focus shifted towards language studies while taking various courses at college, including astronomy, programming, and Chinese language. His transformative experience studying abroad in China solidified his commitment to linguistics and languages, leading him to pursue a Ph.D. at Ohio State University. At CMU, Dr. Wiener teaches diverse courses related to language acquisition and research methods while engaging in innovative research projects.
