Shannon Hiebert is highly regarded as a collaborative pianist, vocal coach, conductor, and music director. A native of Winnipeg, she began her studies at the University of Manitoba and further trained at the Banff Centre with Martin Isepp and at the University of Michigan under the world-renowned pianist Martin Katz. As a demand collaborative artist, she has worked with celebrated singers including Tracy Dahl, Measha Brueggergosman, John Tessier, and Andriana Chuchman, and has been heard in recitals broadcast across Canada, the United States, Europe, Taiwan, and Japan. As a diverse performer, Shannon has worked with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Manitoba Chamber Orchestra, and Edmonton Opera. She has toured Canada in Broadway productions such as Mamma Mia, Spamalot, and Wicked, and in 2009, became a member of the Toronto cast of Jersey Boys. Additionally, she has acted as Music Director for Grant MacEwan University's Theatre Arts productions such as Spring Awakening and Night Music. Shannon is a passionate teacher, having served on the faculties of the University of Manitoba, University of Toronto, and the University of Alberta, amongst others. Her students have gone on to prestigious programs around the world and enjoy successful international performing careers.
