Biography

Shaoshuai Mou is an Associate Professor at Purdue University's School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, co-directing the Institute for Control, Optimization, and Networks (ICON). He completed his Ph.D. at Yale University in 2014. Professor Mou's research focuses on Multi-Agent Systems, Autonomy, Control, Optimization, Learning, and Robotics, seeking to investigate the autonomy and intelligence of networked systems composed of multiple unmanned mobile agents. His work combines theories of control, networks, and optimization with advances in artificial intelligence to address significant challenges in autonomous connected systems. He has held prominent appointments including Associate Director of the Center for Intelligent Infrastructure and Co-Chair of the Autonomous Connected Systems Initiative at Purdue. He has received multiple awards for his mentoring and is regarded as a leader in the educational field of information assurance and security. His lab, the Autonomous & Intelligent Multi-Agent Systems (AIMS) Lab, is dedicated to improving the performance and capabilities of autonomous systems through innovative theoretical and experimental research.
