Biography

Sharon Fargason is a Lecturer Supervisor in Education Studies with over twenty years of experience teaching in elementary schools in San Diego. Her research interests are centered around issues of equity and access for students, particularly focusing on how science can be used to foster authentic, student-centered teaching and learning environments. Additionally, she is passionate about supporting novice teachers in developing their skills and confidence while maintaining positive professional identities. Her academic background includes an Ed.D. from the University of California, San Diego, earned in 2017, an M.Ed. in 2003, and a B.A. in Human Development completed in 2002, all from the same institution.
