Biography

Shirley S. Wang is a clinical psychologist currently teaching at Princeton University. Her scholarly interests are focused on clinical psychology and the psychological experiences of Asian Americans, emphasizing student learning and well-being. In addition to her professorship at Princeton, she directs the Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology and Health Care Integration at Rowan University. Wang has also served as a crisis clinician for Penn Medicine Princeton Health’s Behavioral Health Emergency Services. Prior to her academic career, she was a health science reporter for the Wall Street Journal from 2007 to 2016, working in both New York and London, and she continues to write for public audiences. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Yale University and holds an A.B. in Psychology from Princeton University.
