Dr. Shirley Wang

Biography

Shirley S. Wang is a clinical psychologist teaching at Princeton University since 2021. Her focus is on clinical psychology and psychological experiences among Asian Americans. Her scholarly interests center around student learning and well-being. She is a Professor of Psychology at Rowan University, where she directs the Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Health Care Integration. Additionally, Dr. Wang serves as a crisis clinician at Penn Medicine Princeton Health’s Behavioral Health Emergency Services. Previously, she worked as a health science reporter for the Wall Street Journal from 2007 to 2016, based in New York and London, and continues to write for public audiences. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Yale University and holds an A.B. in Psychology from Princeton University.
