Sienna Dahlen is a Juno-award winning vocalist who has toured extensively throughout Canada, Europe, Mexico, and South America. She has released six albums of original jazz and folk music, and has collaborated with national and international projects. Notably, she co-leads and writes lyrics for musicians Joel Miller's Dream Cassette band (Canada) and Mads Baerentzen’s Lifelines project (Denmark), and has worked with Lebanese pianist Wassim Soubra on the Dunes album (France). Sienna has also collaborated with Canadian drummer Karl Jannuska on the Streaming and Halfway Tree Midseason records. In addition to performing, she has taught jazz voice and directed small ensembles at the post-secondary level for over 10 years. After obtaining her Masters in Music Jazz Performance degree in 2008 from the University of Toronto, she began teaching at Humber College and later spent a year at Selkirk College in Nelson, BC, working in the Jazz Contemporary Music program. Sienna has taught at McGill University and Concordia University in Montreal for the past decade, offering voice clinics and songwriting masterclasses globally. She enjoys teaching in both English and French.
