Dr. Sim Sitkin

Biography

Sim B. Sitkin is the Michael W. Krzyzewski University Distinguished Professor at Duke University, specializing in leadership, management, and organizational behavior. He is the founding Faculty Director of the Fuqua/Coach K Center for Leadership and Ethics and the Director of the Behavioral Science & Policy Center at the Sanford School of Public Policy. Sitkin's research explores the dynamics of leadership, control systems, trust dynamics, and the integration of formal and informal controls in organizations. His scholarly work has been published in distinguished journals including the Academy of Management Annals, Harvard Business Review, and Administrative Science Quarterly, among others. He is known for his influential books such as 'Organizational Control' and 'Six Domains of Leadership'. Sitkin served as an editorial member for various leading academic journals and has extensive experience consulting for organizations across sectors including corporate, non-profit, and government. He was elected Fellow of the Academy of Management and the Society for Organizational Behavior in recognition of his contributions to the field.
