My area of training is psychoeducation and developmental psychology, specializing in the study of mother-child interactions regarding school readiness, cognitive skill development, and academic adaptation difficulties. I am particularly interested in the preschool-primary transition. Clinically, I teach on the development and evaluation of parent-child attachment relationships. For 16 years, I have co-directed with Jean Séguin the Longitudinal Study on the Development of Children in Quebec (ELDEQ-P), in collaboration with the Research Group on Psychosocial Maladjustment (GRIP) and the Institut de la statistique du Québec (ISQ). For 18 years, children from ELDEQ-P, their families, and their teachers participated in various evaluation modalities to document the evolution of their living conditions, cognitive development, and psychosocial and educational adaptation. I am also part of the Research Group on School Environments (GRES), which particularly focuses on school engagement, its predictors, and consequences.
