Biography

Soyoon Park joined the University of Warwick in September 2025 as a Korean Language Tutor. She is responsible for teaching various Korean language modules. Prior to her appointment at Warwick, she taught Korean modules at York St John University. Soyoon completed her PhD in Applied Linguistics with funding and has further qualifications including a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), an MLitt in Comparative Literature, and a BA in English Language and Literature. Her research interests focus on the intersectionality of language learning, particularly on the discursive constructions and gender implications within language socialization. Soyoon is committed to enhancing the learning experience of her students through innovative teaching methods and a deep understanding of linguistic challenges.
