Stacey De Fries joined the School of Social Work faculty as a full-time lecturer and field faculty instructor in 2011. She teaches field education courses and the Master of Social Work (MSW) curriculum. Prior to joining the School of Social Work, Stacey directed the implementation of a federally funded research project in partnership with emeritus psychology professor John Gottman at the University of Washington. This project focused on community-based services for youth and families in the Puget Sound area. Additionally, she served as a field instructor and was a member of the School of Social Work Practicum Advisory Committee. From 2002 to 2007, Stacey coordinated statewide public health data projects and program evaluation for the Washington State Department of Health’s Children with Special Health Care Needs Program. Between 2000 and 2002, she provided training and technical assistance at the Ounce of Prevention Fund in Chicago and conducted case reviews and program evaluation with the Administration for Children’s Services in New York City.
