Biography

Stacy Scholder is an Emmy award-winning television news producer and director at Annenberg TV News, part of USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. She joined USC in January 2007 and has since trained journalists across the country, teaching hands-on experimental journalism courses while connecting students with local news stations like KTLA-TV. With over 20 years of experience, Scholder has worked as a news producer and executive producer for various news organizations in Los Angeles and New England, including KABC-TV and KNBC-TV, where she managed the station’s top-rated 11 p.m. newscast. Throughout her career, she has received numerous accolades, including Emmys, Golden Mikes, and Associated Press Awards for her work in news production. Scholder played a key role in launching the state-of-the-art Annenberg Media Center in Fall 2014, which has since produced award-winning student shows. Additionally, she has engaged in consulting work in public relations for law firms in the Los Angeles area and for Routledge Press, a major academic publisher.
