Biography

Stefano DellaVigna holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University (2002) and is the Daniel Koshland, Sr. Distinguished Professor of Economics and Professor of Business Administration at the University of California, Berkeley. His research primarily focuses on Behavioral Economics, also known as Psychology Economics. He co-directs the Initiative on Behavioral Economics and Finance, and has published extensively in prominent international journals, including the American Economic Review, Quarterly Journal of Economics, Journal of Finance, and Journal of Labor Economics. DellaVigna has served as Principal Investigator for an NSF Grant from 2004 to 2007 and was an Alfred P. Sloan Fellow from 2008 to 2010. Additionally, he received a Distinguished Teaching Award in 2008 and worked as a co-editor for the Journal of the European Economic Association from 2009 to 2013. His recent research includes model-based field experiments in economics media, the impact of voting through persuasion, and the analysis of editorial choices in scientific journals.
