Biography

Stéphane Côté is a Professor of Organizational Behaviour at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, where he also holds the Geoffrey Conway Chair in Business Ethics. His research primarily focuses on emotional intelligence and its impact on well-being and performance, as well as social class inequality and its relation to prosocial ethical behavior in social and organizational settings. He serves as an Associate Editor for Administrative Science Quarterly and is a Fellow of both the Association for Psychological Science and the International Association for Applied Psychology. Professor Côté teaches various courses related to emotional intelligence in MBA and Ph.D. programs, including elective and core courses on leadership and organizational behavior. He is actively involved in supervising PhD students and collaborating on industry projects, in addition to his extensive media presence in television, radio, and online publications. His educational background includes a PhD and MA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a BSc from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
