Dr. Stephanie Jones

Biography

Stephanie M. Jones is the Gerald S. Lesser Professor at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, focusing on Early Childhood Development. Her research is anchored in prevention science and examines the effects of poverty exposure and violence on children and youth's social, emotional, and behavioral development. Over the past ten years, she has concentrated on evaluation research about social-emotional learning interventions in preschool and elementary settings, with a strong emphasis on classroom practices and curriculum development. Jones is a recipient of the Grawemeyer Award for Education and has authored significant works, including 'Vision Universal Preschool Education' and 'Leading Edge Early Childhood Education.'
