Dr. Steven Minas

Biography

Steven Minas holds a Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Southern California, which he completed in August 2022. He also earned an MA from Georgetown University in May 2015 and a BA from the University of Arizona in May 2012. His research primarily explores the works of John Milton, particularly his use of allusion and creative criticism, with publications including articles in 'Diacritics' and 'Milton Studies'. Minas is also the co-editor of the book 'Sound Past: Modernist Echoes and Incantations', which examines the works of notable authors such as T.S. Eliot and Virginia Woolf. His academic interests are diverse, encompassing Epic Poetry, Literary Criticism, and theories related to cognition and virtue ethics. At USC, he teaches multiple courses related to English literature and humanistic inquiry.
