Dr. Suzanne Gagnon

Biography

Professor Suzanne Gagnon serves as Associate Dean Research Graduate Research Programs at the Asper School of Business. In this role, she promotes research excellence and fosters a collaborative academic culture among faculty members. Gagnon leads graduate programs including the MSc and PhD in Management at the Stu Clark Graduate School. She has held various academic administrative roles, including Associate Dean for Professional Graduate Programs and has been pivotal in developing leadership programs such as the President’s Student Leadership Program. Her research focuses on identity and inclusion, leadership development, gender equity, and strategic change in both private and public organizations. Gagnon's work has been published in prominent management journals, and she has collaborated with organizations to create diversity initiatives funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council. As a senior scholar, she participates in the National Advisory Board for the Women’s Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub, striving to dismantle barriers for women and Indigenous entrepreneurs. Gagnon previously taught at Oxford and Oxford Brookes Universities, consulted for KPMG, and acted as a Legislative Advisor in the Prime Minister’s Office in Canada.
