Dr. Teresa Cerratto Pargman

Biography

Teresa Cerratto-Pargman is a full professor at Stockholm University where she specializes in Human-Machine Interaction. As a past head of the Interaction Design Learning research unit (IDEAL) at the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences, she brings a wealth of knowledge from her extensive academic background. Teresa holds a PhD in Cognitive Psychology from Université Paris 8, France, where she graduated with honors. She has been involved in various research projects funded by esteemed organizations, including the Swedish Research Council and the EU Horizon 2020. Her research interests lie at the intersection of Educational Technology and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), focusing on the implications of increasing digitalization in educational practices and the relationships that emerge between humans and digital technologies. She has published in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and presented her work at national and international conferences. Currently, she leads projects examining ethical and legal challenges in AI-driven practices in higher education, funded by WASP-HS and the Swedish Research Council. Additionally, she serves as program director for a master's program in Design for Creative Immersive Technologies and is actively engaged in teaching courses related to Behavioral and Social Sciences, Cognitive Psychology, and Evaluation Methods. Throughout her career, she has received recognition and grants for her contributions to the field, including a personal research grant awarded to female academics by Stockholm University in 2013.
