Biography

Terri Griffith holds the Keith Beedie Chair in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business. With decades of experience in Silicon Valley, she was recognized in 2012 as a Woman of Influence by the Silicon Valley Business Journal. Griffith provides students and organizations with the skills needed to accelerate performance and prepare for future work environments. She is passionate about evidence-based innovation, organizational design, and technology management, using her research to inform her teaching, speaking, and writing. Her current research interests focus on remote and hybrid work strategies, particularly how bottom-up approaches can leverage automation and artificial intelligence. Over the past 30 years, she has partnered with universities to deliver executive education to organizations such as Cisco, IBM, and Oracle. Griffith also holds leadership roles in advisory boards and president of ISSIP - International Society for Service Innovation Professionals. Her award-winning book, "Plugged-In Manager: Get in Tune with People, Technology, and Organization to Thrive", illustrates practical examples for successful integration of leadership and technology. Griffith's academic publications have appeared in top journals and she has served as a senior editor for "Organization Science".
