Prof. Thomas F. Hofmann, born in 1968, is a prominent figure in the field of Food Chemistry and Molecular Sensory Science. He received his doctorate from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in 1995 and completed postdoctoral studies in 1998 in the Chemistry Department at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Prof. Hofmann has held prominent positions such as Senior Vice President for Research Innovation and is currently the President of TUM. His accomplishments have earned him various awards, including the ACS Fellow Award (2008) and the Agricultural Food Chemistry Award (2014).
