Thomas Hervé Mboa Nkoudou is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Ottawa. He holds a PhD in Public Communication and a Master's in Science Education from Laval University, Canada. He also has a Diploma in Secondary General Teaching in Life and Earth Sciences from the École Normale Supérieure of Yaoundé, and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Yaoundé, Cameroon. Before joining the University of Ottawa, he taught at the Higher School of Information and Communication Sciences (ESSTIC) at the University of Yaoundé II, where he coordinated the Master's program in digital humanities and taught courses in digital communication, social media, library science, and sociology of the digital. He has also been a lecturer at Laval University. Thomas Mboa is an active member of several international networks, including the International Expertise Center of Montreal in Responsible Artificial Intelligence (CEIMIA), the Open AIR network at the University of Ottawa, the MICA lab at Bordeaux Montaigne University, the LabCMO at Laval University and UQAM, and the RAI-Multilab at the University of Yaoundé II. He is the author of numerous scholarly publications and regularly speaks as an invited lecturer on issues related to AI ethics, digital communication, and the transformation of professional practices in the technological era.
