Biography

Tim Martin is the Director of the UWA Albany Centre, where he oversees the University of Western Australia's operations, teaching, and community engagement in Kinjarling/Albany. He is dedicated to advancing UWA's mission in the Great Southern region by improving pathways to higher education, offering full degree programs, and coordinating experience-rich fieldwork units that focus on research and community engagement. Before his current role, Tim served as the Associate Director of Student Services and Engagement at UWA, where he led the university’s central student administrative teams. With over 20 years of experience in higher education, Tim's career includes significant positions at both UWA and Murdoch University. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a graduate of the Signature Leadership program at Leadership WA. In addition to his university work, he has served as a board member and secretary for a not-for-profit organization that supports refugees and new migrant communities. Tim's expertise is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing the importance of education and community support.
