Biography

Tracy Anne Smith is an Assistant Professor at the School of Music, Memorial University of Newfoundland. She has garnered praise for her expressive performances and rich tonal palette, receiving recognition from composer Jacques Hétu among others. Tracy has performed across Canada, the United States, Mexico, Italy, Germany, Spain, and England, showcasing her exceptional guitar skills. Tracy completed her Doctorate at the Peabody Conservatory, where she received the Theodore Presser Prize, and holds a master’s degree from Yale and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto.
