Biography

Tristan Lai graduated from the University of Alberta in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. He also received additional prescribing authorization from the Alberta College of Pharmacy in 2017. He joined the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of British Columbia in 2021, where he develops, coordinates, and instructs courses in the Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Entry-to-Practice PharmD programs. His research and teaching focus on prioritizing core values of humanity, intersectionality, and relationality, aiming to equip emerging practicing pharmacy professionals with the competencies needed to provide quality and dignified pharmaceutical care. Tristan is actively engaged in promoting 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion within pharmacy education and has received multiple awards for his contributions to teaching and learning in higher education.
