Dr. Victoria Lowell

Biography

Dr. Lowell’s scholarship focuses on the development and integration of instructional methods and technologies such as web applications, virtual and augmented reality, and artificial intelligence. She aims to enhance collaborative, situated, experiential, and authentic learning experiences. As part of her research group, the Emerging Technologies Learning, Design, Technology (ETLDT), she has overseen numerous research projects employing emerging technologies in both formal and informal educational settings, as well as professional development training. Dr. Lowell has taught a range of courses in Learning Design Technology and Curriculum Instruction, contributing to the academic and professional growth of her students. Her extensive academic background includes a Doctorate of Philosophy in Education with concentrations in Distance Education and Higher Education - Research Institutional Planning. She has held various academic positions, including Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, and currently, Clinical Professor at Purdue University, where she has made significant contributions to instructional design and educational technology. Dr. Lowell has received multiple awards for her research and teaching excellence, reflecting her dedication to improving educational outcomes through innovative technology integration.
