Dr. Victoria Parker

Biography

Victoria Parker, DBA, is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Boston University, specializing in health care management, organizational behavior, and human resource management. With a DBA from Boston University focusing on organizational behavior, she has also earned an EdM at Harvard University and an AB from Brown University. Dr. Parker's research interests lie in the interactions among healthcare workers, specifically how design changes in healthcare jobs can influence worker motivation, job satisfaction, and the quality of care. She has led impactful projects, including implementing opioid risk reduction strategies in primary care and improving care processes in the VA healthcare system. As a founding director of the MPH certificate in healthcare management, she successfully achieved accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). Dr. Parker is actively involved in education and mentoring, particularly with DrPH students at BU, and is known for her contributions in organizational theory applications within healthcare settings. She has received several teaching awards and recognition for her work in health care management education and is currently the Associate Dean for Graduate Education and Faculty Administration at the University of New Hampshire, where she continues to influence both research and education in her field.
