Biography

Vijay K. Tammara earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Kakatiya University in India and a Master of Science in Pharmacokinetics from Nagpur University in India. He completed his Doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Northeast Louisiana University. With a passion for teaching, he focuses on science-based regulatory principles in biopharmaceuticals and clinical pharmacology. His goal is to promote an understanding of regulatory sciences and their role in drug product development, driven by a desire to comprehend the impact of pharmaceutical sciences on public health. In 2006, he was named a Fellow of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS). He has received several awards for his contributions, including the Regulatory Sciences Achievement Award from AAPS in 2012, the Nuron Biotech Award for Excellence in 2012, the Special Recognition Award for Excellence in 2011, and the Perfect Storm Award from Merck & Co. in 2010. He is also involved in community service through the Sankara Eye Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of people with poor vision.
