Dr. Vivien Villaverde

Biography

Vivien Villaverde is an Associate Teaching Professor in Practicum Education at the Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work at the University of Southern California. As a licensed clinical social worker, she specializes in training and development within educational settings, focusing on safety and crisis response, trauma-informed practices, and school social work. Villaverde coordinates second-year MSW internship placements and has built strong community partnerships to enhance MSW workforce development. She is also a doctoral candidate at the Rossier School of Education, pursuing her EdD. Villaverde has a rich background in mental health care and social services, featuring significant expertise in critical incident response, psychological aid, and trauma-responsive school system transformation. She holds an MSW from Columbia University and a BA from the University of California, Irvine.
