Dr. Wanda Knight

Biography

Wanda B. Knight, Ph.D., is a Professor of Art Education and Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies, and serves as the Professor-in-Charge of Art Education. She has extensive experience teaching at the university level both online and in person, spanning grade levels from PreK–12, and has taught in diverse settings including rural, urban, suburban areas, and Department of Defense schools overseas. Dr. Knight has served as a principal in elementary and secondary public schools and worked as a registrar and curator in art museums. She is dedicated to fostering diversity and supporting fair, ethical, and inclusive teaching and learning environments, and has acted as a diversity consultant for educational organizations and Fortune 500 companies. Her research and leadership knowledge are informed by global travel and scholarly pursuits, and she has served in various capacities within professional organizations such as the National Art Education Council and the National Art Education Association. Dr. Knight is also an accomplished editor and has received numerous awards such as the Pennsylvania Art Education Association Outstanding Higher Education Art Educator Award and the Kenneth Marantz Distinguished Alumni Award from Ohio State University.
