Biography

William Bettger is an Associate Professor in the Department of Human Health Sciences at the University of Guelph. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Missouri. Throughout his career, Bettger has focused on the biochemical effects of various mineral micronutrients in the food supply, particularly zinc, copper, iron, selenium, and arsenic. His work emphasizes community-engaged and project-based learning, aiming to enhance student career development within the field of Nutritional Sciences.
