Biography

Xavier Ahodetor is a PhD student specializing in Applied Linguistics at the University of Calgary, Canada. He graduated in July 2020 with a Bachelor's degree in Education, focusing on French, from the University of Cape Coast, followed by a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics from the University of Calgary. Raised in Côte d'Ivoire and originally from the Anlo-Afiadenyigba region in Ghana, he developed a strong interest in languages during his visits to Ghana. His research interests include language acquisition, sociolinguistics, and morpho-syntax. In addition to his academic pursuits, Xavier enjoys reading fiction that reflects societal realities and watching movies, particularly those that explore the human relationship with the Creator and the universe.
