Xavier Gutierrez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Modern Languages and Cultural Studies at the University of Alberta, specializing in Applied Linguistics and Language Education. Throughout his career, Gutierrez has received recognition including the Faculty of Arts Undergraduate Teaching Award for Early Achievement in 2017. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Applied Linguistics and supervises graduate students on topics related to Language Education.
