Biography

Yang Wang is an Associate Dean and Clinical Associate Professor at Purdue University’s Daniels School of Business. He assumed the position of Interim Associate Dean in July 2024 and has been actively involved in overseeing the curriculum and school-wide teaching plan, leading AACSB accreditation efforts, and managing the Data Analytics team. Wang co-directed the M.S. Business Analytics & Information Management program and directed the online M.S. Business Analytics program from 2018 to 2022, contributing to significant awards including the 2023 INFORMS UPS George D. Smith Prize. With a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona, he has taught a diverse range of courses including Management Information Systems, Database Management, and Python Programming. His contributions to pedagogy have been recognized with Krannert Outstanding Distinguished Teacher awards, highlighting his role in innovative teaching practices at Purdue.
