Biography

Yibo Hu is a PhD student in the Human Development & Family Studies program at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His academic journey began with a bachelor's degree in engineering followed by a master's degree in psychology. Driven by a natural curiosity about human nature, he transitioned from engineering to psychology. His research interests focus on supporting children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Under the guidance of Dr. Alvin Thomas, Yibo is currently utilizing public databases to investigate how neighborhood disadvantage impacts children's developmental outcomes, particularly in the context of father absence.
