Biography

Yolanda Grift studied econometrics at the University of Amsterdam, graduating in 1985. Since then, she has been affiliated with Utrecht University, where she earned her PhD in 1998 with research on 'Female Labour Supply: Influence of Taxes and Social Premiums'. Throughout her career, she has worked on various research projects concerning the labor market for institutes including the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment, Ministry of Finance, and the Social and Cultural Planning Office. Her current research focuses on the impact of employee participation on company performance and the development of school pathways in secondary education. Grift is involved in coordinating and teaching introductory courses in Mathematics and instructs both bachelor and master's level courses in Econometrics, while guiding theses at both levels. Additionally, she has engaged in educational leadership and has developed a successful honors project for talented high school students. She has also contributed to addressing mathematics curriculum connections between high school and university and has been involved in international academic collaborations.
