Biography

Youngsun T. Cho is an Assistant Professor at the Child Study Center, Department of Psychiatry at Yale University. An MD/PhD graduate from the University of Rochester, he completed his dissertation on amygdala neuroanatomy and reward processing using fMRI. Dr. Cho finished his residency in psychiatry at the Yale Neuroscience Research Training Program and then completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Yale Child Study Center. His current research interests focus on the development of cognitive and motivational brain circuits in adolescents, particularly concerning depression and schizophrenia, utilizing fMRI and pharmacologic neuroimaging to identify potential treatment mechanisms. His work is supported by grants from the National Institute of Mental Health and the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation.
