Dr. Yuan Yue

Biography

Yuan Yue holds a Ph.D. and is a Postdoc at Aarhus University, Department of Animal and Veterinary Sciences. His research focuses on utilizing in vitro cultured bovine mammary epithelial cells to produce sustainable food ingredients. His work involves various research projects aimed at investigating the key factors of cellular milk production, including cell sources, culture media, and scalable cell culture systems. He aims to enhance understanding of lactogenesis while developing innovative methods for milk production. Additionally, Yuan is passionate about teaching and actively engages with students to connect theoretical concepts with real-world biological processes. He teaches parts of the Cell Biology course for animal science and veterinary students at the bachelor's level and lectures on the master's course Future Animal-Based Food. Furthermore, he co-supervises master's and Ph.D. students in cell biology and agriculture. His areas of expertise include Cell Biology, Lactation Physiology, Bioactive Food Ingredients, and Mastitis in vitro cell models.
