Dr. Zixiu Guo

Biography

Zixiu Guo is an Associate Professor at the School of Information Systems and Technology Management at the University of New South Wales, Australia. He holds a PhD in Information Systems from the same university, where he researched the influence of culture on communication media choice behavior within multinational organizations. His academic background includes a Master’s in Industrial Management Engineering and a Bachelor’s in Automation Instrumentation from Tianjin University, China. His research interests center on the positive use of information systems and technologies, particularly in online learning, online gaming, and online shopping. He focuses on human-centric design and aims to create technology ecosystems that enhance user experiences and improve quality of life. Throughout his career, he has published in numerous scholarly journals and has garnered awards for his contributions to the field, including accolades for conference papers and innovative teaching practices. His current projects explore the intersection of personal values and technology design, as well as the impact of buy-now-pay-later systems on user well-being. He also supervises several PhD students, guiding research efforts in related domains of technology and user experience.
